Ghulam Muhammad Safi chairs seminar to pay tribute to the martyrs of 13th July 1931
ISLAMABAD, July 13 (SABAH): All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir and Pakistan Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi chaired the seminar to pay tribute to the martyrs of 13th July 1931.
The speakers while paying rich tribute to the martyrs of 13th July 1931 said that this is unforgettable historic day, adding that this is the very day when the freedom movement was started with the sacred blood of the martyrs. The speakers said that this day is the milestone in the history of the Jammu and Kashmir.
The speakers said that on this day the forces of the Dogra Raja martyred 22 peaceful protesters after opening firing outside the Srinagar Jail. The speakers said that martyrs were the common people who had gathered outside the Srinagar Central Jail on the occasion of the hearing of the common citizen named Abdul Qadeer, who had urged the Kashmiri people to rebel against the Dogra Raj.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi while addressing on the occasion paid rich tribute to the martyrs and vowed to continue the mission of the martyrs at any cost. He said that due to the sacrifices of the martyrs the freedom struggle of Kashmiris has entered into the decisive and critical phase. He said that the time is not far away when the Kashmiris will succeed in their mission and will secure liberation from the illegal Indian occupation.
The speakers on the occasion appealed to all the human rights organizations of the world and United Nations Organization (UNO) to take notice of the Indian suppression and should ensure the right to self determination of Kashmiris, which has been promised with them so that the they could make decision about their political future according to their own will and durable peace is established in South Asia.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Altaf Hussain Wani, Faiz Naqshbandi, Mir Tahir Hussain, Ghulam Nabi Butt, Khateeb Hussain, Haji Muhammad Sultan, Ijaz Rehmani, Imtiaz Wani, Hassan Al-Banna, Sheikh Jehangir Butt, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Raja Khadim Hussain, Daud Khan, Sanullah Dar, Khurshid Mir, Manzoor Ahmed Dar and other attended the seminar.
