General elections of national & all four provincial assemblies should be held at the same time according to constitution: Rana Sanaullah

 


 

GUJRANWALA, Mar 28 (SABAH): Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan says general elections will be held on 8th October this year under caretaker setup. Rana Sanaullah said that he has not given any threat of killing to Imran Khan, adding that he had talked about political existence.

Talking to media in Gujranwala on Tuesday after appearing before the anti-terrorism court judge Rana Zahid Iqabl in an alleged terrorism related case for threatening the former chief secretary Punjab and his family members registered in Factory Area Police Station of Gujrat, Rana Sanaullah Khan said whenever the court will summon he will surrender before the court. He said that the respect of the court is the basic thing for any society, adding that the peace could be established in the society while respecting the court. 

He said that the general elections of national and all four provincial assemblies should be held at the same time according to constitution. He said that if the elections of two assemblies are held now and three assemblies later on then no one will accept the results of the elections and these elections will bring unrest and anarchy in the country. He said that the elections should not be held to fulfill the agenda of “fitna” and should be held same time on 8th October.

He said national economy was damaged due to bad policies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan. Rana Sanaullah said Imran Khan is working on the agenda of spreading anarchy in the country. He said that the juma bazaar of bails has been set up for Imran Khan and daily he is being given 12, 10 or 8 bails.

He said the accountability of every one should be done across the board. He said that Imran Khan will be held accountable. He said that current deteriorating economic situation is due to Imran Khan. Rana Sanaullah said that Imran Khan tried to lodge fake FIR of Wazirabad incident against us. Rana Sanaullah said that it is his claim that “Imrani fitna” and democracy could not co-exist and could not move forward together.

Replying a question, Rana Sanaullah said that there is no division between the Supreme Court judges, adding that the decisions of the judges themselves speak and it is their opinion, adding that the Supreme Court judgment in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkwa elections case is based 4-3, adding that the verdict of four judges should prevail and contempt application should be rejected and the verdict delivered by four judges should be implemented.

Meanwhile the court suspended the non-bailable arrest warrants of Rana Sanaullah after he appeared before the court. The court has directed Rana Sanaullah to submit surety bond of Rs 0.5 million. The court has adjourned further hearing of the case till 28th April.
