Full court should be constituted for hearing of Punjab & KP Assembly polls matter & all will accept the verdict: Rana Sanaullah


ISLAMABAD, April 02 (SABAH): Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that the full court should be constituted for the hearing of the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly polls matter and whatever decision will be made by it will be acceptable for us, adding that all will accept the verdict of the full court. Rana Sanaullah said that we are not asking to include government people in the full court as the brother judges will sit in it, adding that all should jointly decide the matter and should settle this problem.

This was stated by Rana Sanaullah Khan in an interview with a private TV channel. He said that Imran Khan could be disqualified and could also be minced with the power of vote. He said that secretary defense and secretary finance should follow the directions of the Supreme Court or Pakistan and should say that of which suo motu notice implementation you are saying has been dismissed and it is minority view and according to the majority view this has been dismissed.

Rana Sanaullah said that through legislation Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has been given the right of appeal, adding that he should take benefit of it but final decision will be made by him but it is my opinion that he should take benefit of it.

Rana Sanaullah said that there are different dimensions of the boycott, adding that we will place in black and white our stance in front of the three-member of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial that matter has been dismissed by majority of four against three judges then of which verdict’s implementation this bench is moving forward the proceedings. Rana Sanaullah said that it is our stance this whole proceeding is illegal, unilateral and based on bias.  

Rana Sanaullah said that no one would be allowed to disrupt peace and security of the country. He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan is spreading chaos to disrupt democratic system in the country.

The Interior Minister said Imran Khan has given a protest call so that the system could be brought to a standstill but the law enforcement departments would intervene to prevent any violation of the laws.

In reply to a question, he said the country’s economic and security situation does not render any plausible justification to hold elections at this point of time. He said all coalition partners of government, including Pakistan Peoples Party have agreed unanimously to hold elections in October.
