Former US attorney general Ramsey Clark had declared Dr. Aafia Siddiqui a victim of war against terror: Fowzia Siddiqui
KARACHI, August 21 (SABAH): Global Aafia Movement chairperson and noted neurophysician of the country Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui has said that it is a bitter fact that Pakistan played a crucial role in fighting war against terror but it also paid the highest price for it.
She said our vision-less political leaderships are responsible for this huge loss. She asked the government and its ministry of foreign affairs to include 21 years of imprisonment of innocent Dr. Aafia Siddiqui to the social and economic losses of Pakistan for fighting the war against terror.
On the occasion of the international day of the victims of terrorism, she said that the whole nation supports the state against terrorism.
She reminded that the former attorney general of USA Ramsey Clark had declared Aafia Siddiqui as the victim of the war on terror. She said this war is now ended and all its prisoners are released saving Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.
Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui said Aafia is the biggest victim of the war on terror. She faced every sort of torture and despite there was no proof against her she was handed long imprisonment. Her three children were snatched from her, which itself is a great terrorism. She said despite all these atrocities Dr. Aafia is loyal to her country and religion and awaits justice.
