Former ruling parties made politics a game of chess: Sirajul Haq

LOWER DIR, Jan 10 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that former ruling parties made the politics a game of chess.

Candidate for provincial assembly Azazul Mulk, former MNA Shahibzada Yaqoob and former tehsil nazim Hamayun Khan were also present on the occasion. He further said if the former ruling parties win in elections it would be failure of people.

He further said social media have unfolded the incompetent rulers, adding the nation will vote against the status quo on February 8. He said the “scale” is a guarantee of peace, justice and prosperity.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that former governments tied the nation in the chains of debts. He said that former rulers increased their assets by taking loans from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) while they are looting public for paying those loans. He said that Nawaz League, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are equally responsible for destruction of economy and they could not deliver. He said that paucity of resources is not issue over here but it needed good governance.

Sirajul Haq said that Jamaat-e-Islami believe in reforms as for instance current system of taxes is obsolete one and added they would put an end to corrupt system. He said after coming into power, resources would be utilized for the sake of people, adding profit of industries would also be divided into labourers. He said that Allah Almighty has given people an opportunity to change their destiny.

Sirajul Haq added that Jamaat-e-Islami is of the old stance that supremacy of democracy should be established and that the courts should deliver verdicts in the light of merit instead of seeing faces of the people. He said there should be a same law for the privileged and unprivileged, adding that they should be given equal opportunities of education and health as it is responsibility of the State.

“Allah Almighty has given abundant human resources to the country. It is an atomic Pakistan of 250 million people. This country came into existence with a number of sacrifices but even after the passage of 70 years, it could not fulfill the objective of its existence,” he added. The so-called big political parties only represent two percent aristocracy, he said and added instead of caring about people they only see their own interests.
