Former PM AJ&K Sardar Tanvir Illyas Khan is a role model for Pakistani politicians: Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami

ISLAMABAD, Dec 17 (SABAH): Prominent journalist of the country Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami has said that former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanvir Illyas Khan is a role model for Pakistani politicians. He said former PM AJ&K’s government was toppled awkwardly.

Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami expressed these views during a ceremony held in honor of senior journalists in Islamabad. He further said in the past toppling government through courts was a custom in Pakistan but now unluckily it has been initiated in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

He said such decisions create disorder whose affects never end in the country. After coming into power, he said the former PM AJ&K did not manage any protests but he adopted intellectual way and demonstrated patience and forbearance.

Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami further said race of coming into power damaged the country to an extent that nothing else did. Quarrels among the politicians damaged the country up to an extreme level. Sardar Tanvir Illyas Khan is a role model for the politicians of the country. He said former PM AJ&K government was toppled awkwardly.

He further said now the politicians should understand that as to how to accommodate each other and the people should be given a level-playing field in elections so that they could choose the parties according to their will. This right should not be given to anyone else, he added.

If Azad Jammu and Kashmir is taken out of Pakistan’s map then Indian army would reach GT Road, he noted. He said Pakistan and Kashmir are part and parcel of each other.
