Former foreign minister & former speaker NA Gohar Ayub Khan passes away, funeral prayer to be offered tomorrow

ISLAMABAD, Nov 17 (SABAH): Former foreign minister and former speaker National Assembly Gohar Ayub Khan passed away at the age of 86 years. The family members have confirmed the death of Gohar Ayub Khan. The funeral prayer of the deceased will be offered tomorrow.

It is worth mentioning here that Gohar Ayub Khan was the son of former late Field Martial General Muhammad Ayub Khan. Gohar Ayub Khan is the father of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General and former federal minister Umar Ayub Khan.

Gohar Ayub Khan was born on 15th January 1937. He was elected the speaker of the National Assembly on 4th November 1990 and remained on this position till 17th October 1993. Gohar Ayub Khan also served as foreign minister of the country from 1997 to 1998.
