FO terms as entirely baseless the claim that Cypher Communication received from Embassy in Washington was ‘hidden’ from FM & PM

ISLAMABAD, July 19 (SABAH): Responding to media questions, Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad termed as entirely baseless the claim that the Cypher Communication received from the Embassy in Washington was ‘hidden’ from the Foreign Minister or Prime Minister.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, FO Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said that such a question simply does not arise. The Foreign Office operates on professional basis and it would be detrimental to cast aspersions on its working, the FO spokesperson concluded.
