FO spokesperson strongly condemns launch of ballistic missile by Houthis towards Jazan

ISLAMABAD, Mar 20 (SABAH): Pakistan has strongly condemned the launch of ballistic missile by Houthis towards Jazan that had been aimed against civilian infrastructure and economic installations.

The Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, in a statement on Sunday, said that the successful interception of the ballistic missile by the Royal Saudi Air Defence Forces prevented loss of innocent lives and is commendable.

It said that such attacks not only violate international law but also threaten peace and security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the region.

The Foreign Office said that Pakistan calls for immediate cessation of these attacks.

It reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia against any threat to its security and territorial integrity.
