FM Bilawal reiterates mutual commitment to deepen Pak-US ties marking 75 years Anniversary


ISLAMABAD, July 06 (SABAH): Foreign Minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday received telephone call of United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

According to a statement issued by Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad on twitter, during the phone call, FM Bilawal reiterated mutual commitment to deepen Pak-US ties marking 75 years Anniversary. Bilawal Bhutto said that he looked forward to frequent exchange of high-level visits. He requested to ease issuance of visas for Pakistani nationals.

Bilawal Bhutto appreciated the ongoing visit of US special Representative Dilawar Syed to Pakistan. He stressed on solidifying Pak-US trade and commercial ties.

Bilawal Bhutto reaffirmed mutual cooperation in energy, health, security and economic development. Bilawal Bhutto also discussed the need for continuous engagement with Taliban regime to deal with humanitarian crisis.

Meanwhile Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in a statement issued on twitter said that he spoke to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday. “We reaffirmed our mutual desire to further strengthen bilateral ties by expanding our engagement in trade, energy, health & security marking 75 years of our relationship. We must increase people-to-people & business-to-business contacts” Bilawal Bhutto said.

Meanwhile Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar received Ambassador of Turkiye in Pakistan Mehmet Pacaci at the Foreign Office on Wednesday.

According to a statement issued by FO Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad on twitter on Wednesday, Hina Rabbani Khar expressed desire to further strengthen collaboration in all areas of mutual interest with Turkiye. She also expressed satisfaction at convergence of views on a number of regional and global issues. She also said Long Live Pakistan-Turkiye Friendship.
