FM Bilawal expresses Pakistan’s strong support to all efforts aimed at promoting the well-being & prosperity of Afghan people


ISLAMABAD, Dec 08, (SABAH):Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari participated in the International Conference on Afghan Women’s Education in Bali. In his remarks, the Foreign Minister highlighted the importance of education for women and their participation in decision making.

Bilawal Bhutto stressed the need for concrete and practical assistance programs benefiting cross section of Afghan society. FM Bilawal expressed Pakistan’s strong support to all efforts aimed at promoting the well-being and prosperity of the Afghan people.

Meanwhile Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has urged the need to reform international financial institutions for better and equitable dispensation of financial resources.

Speaking at 15th Bali Democracy forum in Indonesia, he said sustainable development is possible only through continuity of democratic system and traditions.

The Foreign Minister said democracy is the foundation of an emancipated society and Pakistan has always been striving and will keep striving for a people’s centric democracy. He said the democracy of fiction is to be replaced with the democracy of truth.

FM Bilawal stressed the need for democracies to re-invent themselves to be more responsive to the needs of their people and to cooperate with each other to find people-centric solutions.

Meanwhile Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met the Foreign Minister of Indonesia in Bali on Thursday. The two FMs reviewed bilateral relations, discussed regional and international situation and agreed to stay engaged. The two FMs also signed an MoU on the establishment of Joint Ministerial Commission, which will drive bilateral engagement and cooperation.

Meanwhile Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with Foreign Minister of Bosnia Herzegovina, Dr. Bisera Turkovic in Bali on Thursday. The two foreign Ministers discussed mutual collaboration through high-level exchanges, trade and mechanisms of bilateral cooperation. They agreed on amplifying magnitude of bilateral cooperation in areas that will translate into tangible outcomes.
