FM Bilawal, Chinese FM Wang Xi reaffirm their joint resolve to take Pakistan-China Ironclad Friendship to even greater heights


ISLAMABAD, August 06 (SABAH): Pakistan and China have reiterated their commitment to take their brotherly relationship and friendship to greater heights.

The resolve was expressed during a telephonic conversation in between Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his Chinese counterpart Wang Xi in which they also discussed bilateral cooperation in diverse sectors.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that there was a productive discussion with the Chinese counterpart on bilateral issues.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that no matter how the international situation changes, China will, firmly support Pakistan in defending its national sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.

He said China firmly supports Pakistan in development, and its more active role in international and regional affairs.

“I had a productive call with my brother Foreign Minister Wang Yi, one of the finest diplomats I have had the pleasure of engaging with. We discussed matters of mutual interest, and reaffirmed our joint resolve to take Pakistan-China Ironclad Friendship to even greater heights” FM Bilawal Bhutto Zardari tweeted.

Meanwhile Permanent Representative of the People’s Republic of China to the United Nations, Zhang Jun in a statement issued on twitter wrote “Talking on the phone with Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that no matter how the international situation and Pakistan’s domestic situation change, China will, as always, firmly support Pakistan in defending national sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, firmly support Pakistan in maintaining unity and stability, realizing revitalization and development, and firmly support Pakistan to play a bigger and more active role in international and regional affairs”.
