Five police personnel including officers martyred in various incidents in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, Aug 4 (SABAH): Five police personnel including officers were martyred in various incidents in Islamabad.

According to the details, Shaheed Ansar Abbas along with ASI Muhammad Ramzan raided the Dore village in area of Tarnol police station on the information of the drug peddling gang for the recovery of drugs and the arrest of the accused, where they were confronted by the drug peddling gang. Both officers fought very bravely and attained the rank of martyrdom.

Shaheed Police Officer Ghulam Farid was posted in the anti-car lifting cell while investigating a case of car theft he reached the accused, but officer Ghulam Farid and his partner were taken hostage and kept in the basement, starved and thirsty, and subjected to immense torture. Due to this, Ghulam Fareed was martyred.

Martyr ASI Sher Muhammad at Thana Tarnool was seriously injured as a result of firing while on duty in a rally. He was shifted hospital where he received martyrdom due to his injuries.

Shaheed Constable Iqbal Hussain was on the duty at Sabzi Mandi police station and stopped the unknown persons for checking who started firing. He was seriously injured and succumbed to his injuries and received martyrdom.
