Federal govt issues notification of appointment of Aftab Sultan as Chairman NAB
ISLAMABAD, July 21 (SABAH): The federal government has issued the notification of appointment of ex-director general investigation bureau (IB) Aftab Sultan as Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday. The notification has been issued by Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of Pakistan.
Notification has been issued by Section Officer to the Government of Pakistan Muhammad Omer Farooq with the approval of Muhammad Umer Aziz, Deputy Secretary to the Government of Pakistan.
According to the notification: In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(b)(i) of the National Accountability Ordinance, 1999, the Federal Government is pleased to appoint Mr. Aftab Sultan, (a retired BS-22 officer of Police Service of Pakistan) as Chairman, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), after consultation between the Leader of the House and the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, for an non-extendable period of three years with effect from the date he assumes the charge of his office.
His terms and conditions during his service will be same as admissible to the Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The copy of the notification has also been forwarded to all the concerned officials.
