Federal Govt decides to pay April’s salaries, pensions before Eid-ul-Fitr

ISLAMABAD, April 12 (SABAH): The federal government has decided to pay salary of current month to the employees of public sector departments before Eid-ul-Fitr.

A decision to this effect was taken during a consultation between Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad. It was also decided that the monthly pension will also be given before Eid-ul-Fitr.

The Finance Minister directed the Secretary Finance Hamid Yaqoob Sheikh to make arrangements forthwith in this regard.

Meanwhile Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb in a statement issued on twitter on Wednesday said that PM Shehbaz Sharif had directed to pay the salaries and pension prior to the Eid-ul-Fitr for the facilitation of the employees and pensioners. She said that PM Shehbaz Sharif has formally issued directions to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, adding Ishaq Dar has issued directions for immediate implementation of the directions issued by PM Shehbaz Shehbaz.
