Fatima Jinnah Park be further beautified & modernized, with all sections of the park undergoing renovation: Chairman CDA
ISLAMABAD, March 25 (SABAH): A meeting was held on Tuesday at the CDA Headquarters under the chairmanship of Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa to enhance the beauty and appeal of Islamabad’s parks and green belts. Several key decisions were made during the meeting.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa presided over the meeting to discuss comprehensive plans for the beautification, landscaping, and environmental uplift of Fatima Jinnah Park F-9 and other public parks.
During the meeting, Chairman CDA directed that Fatima Jinnah Park be further beautified and modernized, with all sections of the park undergoing renovation. He instructed that under this year’s tree plantation campaign, attractive landscaping and horticultural work be completed in suitable areas of the park. Additionally, the lighting system in the park will be upgraded with new lights so that citizens can enjoy evening walks amidst the beautiful plants and pleasant environment.
It was also apprised during the meeting that Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Member Environment Talat Mehmood visited the CDA Nursery.
The meeting decided that the CDA Nursery will not only be made more efficient on modern lines but will also be transformed into a “Gardenia Hub.” Here, all types of plants will be available at affordable rates, and through an app, they will be sold at minimal prices to government institutions as well as citizens, providing them access to beautiful and attractive plants in one place.
Chairman CDA directed that the CDA Nursery be developed as a state-of-the-art model, featuring modern controlled-ventilation greenhouses, floral shops, and cafes. The nursery will not only cultivate various types of plants but will also allocate space for seasonal flower exhibitions.
Under the Spring Tree Plantation Campaign 2025, the CDA Chairman instructed extensive tree planting in Fatima Jinnah Park and all other parks and locations across the city. He stated that embassies, civil society and multinational companies would also be involved in this campaign to help make the city greener.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhwa Randhawa further directed the planting of fruit-bearing, flowering, and shade trees along green belts, medians and open spaces on all major roads in Islamabad. He emphasized that landscaping should enhance the city’s natural beauty.
Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated that all these measures are significant steps toward making Islamabad a lush green, sustainable and beautiful city. He said that we want citizens to have access to a clean, green and comfortable environment. He added that transforming the CDA Nursery into a Gardenia Hub and upgrading parks are part of their vision to make Islamabad Pakistan’s most beautiful and eco-friendly city.
