Farooq Rehmani strongly rejects & denounces Indian PM Modi’s visit to J&K

ISLAMABAD, Feb 21 (SABAH): Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League and ex-Convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJ&K, has strongly rejected and denounced Indian PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir as a futile attempt to claim economic empowerment of the fragmented state after 2019.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that in reality the people of Jammu and Kashmir had been deprived of all their basic human rights, constitutional and economic rights, left in thousands to rot in jails for years together but yet India was hoodwinking the world about so called peace and prosperity in the besieged region.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani stated that after having shed its mantle of secularism, the Muslims from India to Kashmir were being forced to raise slogans of Jai Shri Ram and beaten for denying to chant these Hindutva slogans. Besides, India has taken over hereditary properties of Kashmiris and had terminated services of many employees and seized religious schools of the Kashmiris across the State .
