Expanding trade relations with African countries using economic diplomacy is one of our priorities: Murtaza Solangi


ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 (SABAH): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has termed cooperation between Pakistan and Ethiopia in the field of media as the need of the hour.

Talking to the Ethiopian Ambassador Jamal Baker in Islamabad, Murtaza Solangi emphasized that, among other fields, the two countries should promote exchanges of media and cultural delegations. He noted that journalists from both countries can benefit from each other’s experiences through the exchange of media delegations.

The Information Minister said Pakistan wants to further strengthen diplomatic, political, parliamentary and commercial relations with all countries of Africa including Ethiopia. Engage Africa Policy is an important component of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

He said expanding trade relations with African countries using economic diplomacy is one of our priorities.

The Ethiopian Ambassador said his country attaches great importance to the development of bilateral relations with Pakistan.

Meanwhile Murtaza Solangi visited CDA Hospital in Islamabad on Saturday to inquire about the health of well-known poet, editor and columnist Kishwar Naheed.

Kishwar Naheed, a prominent figure in Pakistan’s literary landscape, is currently receiving medical treatment at CDA Hospital due to health issues.

Expressing his admiration for Kishwar Naheed’s significant contributions, the Information Minister emphasized her noteworthy position in the country’s literary circles.

He said Kishwar Naheed not only keeps a close eye on the political and social situation but also has excellent services for Pakistan’s democracy.

The Caretaker Minister extended heartfelt well-wishes for Kishwar Naheed’s swift recovery, acknowledging her pivotal role in the literary and democratic spheres of the nation. Recognizing her esteemed status in the literary community, he emphasized the broader impact of her contributions to the democratic fabric of Pakistan. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of Kishwar Naheed.
