Ex-Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, his wife & other people arrested for violating Section 144 released

ISLAMABAD, Sep 1 (SABAH): The leader of Save Gaza campaign and former senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan and his wife, other people who were arrested for violating section 144 in Islamabad on Saturday, were released on Sunday.

According to the Islamabad Police, after the Jamaat-e-Islami leadership contacted the police, the arrested protesters were released, volunteers are also among those who were released.

According to the Islamabad Police spokesman, ex-senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan and his wife, along with other people of the Save Gaza Movement, were released on a written guarantee not to do it again.

Former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan and others were arrested from Express Chowk on Saturday for violating Section 144. According to the police, due to the implementation of Section 144, no party or group is allowed to protest.
