Ex-Emir JI Sirajul Haq arrives in Qatar from Iran on a one-day visit, meets with Hamas leader Khaled Mashal

DOHA/LAHORE, August 6 (SABAH): Former Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq arrived in Qatar from Iran on a one-day visit where he held meeting with Hamas leader  Khaled Mashal. On this occasion, leadership of Hamas including Abdul Salam Haniyeh, Waleed Haniyeh, the sons of martyred Ismail Haniyeh were also present.

Expressing his condolences, Sirajul Haq said that the people of Pakistan share the suffering of the people of Gaza equally and are determined to make all kinds of sacrifices for the freedom of Bait-ul-Muqdis. He said undoubtedly Muslim Ummah is worried over the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh but a spirit has also been awakened. He said, “We pay tribute to Hamas for this continuous struggle. This war is not just a war for the freedom of Palestine, but a war for the protection, survival and security of the Muslim Ummah and the Islamic world.”

Sirajul Haq said that Hamas has destroyed the plan of Greater Israel, adding it has inspired the spirit of martyrdom among the children, youth, elders and women of the Muslim Ummah. Pakistan and its people are with the people of Palestine and are ready to sacrifice for it, he said. Khaled Mashal thanked Pakistan for its support on this occasion.

While appreciating the services of Jamaat-e-Islami, Khaled Mashal said that we expect the government of Pakistan to take a leadership role on the Palestinian issue. Since 1948, Pakistan has not recognized Israel. It is the duty of the Muslim Ummah, including Pakistan, Indonesia, Iran, and Turkey, to raise their voice on the Palestinian issue and raise their voices at the state level against Israeli aggression, he said. He thanked and expressed his determination that other members of the family will also continue the struggle for the freedom of Palestine.

He said that Ismail Haniyeh was always aware of the martyrdom and the situation, but his footsteps did not retreat. Once again, he expressed his determination that the people of Pakistan always stand with their Palestinian brothers. Every youth of Pakistan is not only ready for all kinds of cooperation, but also ready for practical struggle, he noted.
