ISLAMABAD, Sep 3 (SABAH): Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaqat Baloch met former prime minister, current Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and condoled over the death of senior journalist, businessman and analyst Mohsin Baig’s brother.
On this occasion, the country’s economic situation was discussed. Naib Emir JI Mian Muhammad Aslam, Emir JI Islamabad Engineer Nasrullah Randhawa were also present on this occasion. Liaqat Baloch also discussed the situation of Palestine and Kashmir with the convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Ghulam Muhammad Safi and the main representative of Hamas, Dr. Khaled Qaddoumi over telephone.
Liaqat Baloch said that this matter is becoming clear in the majority of the people, which is very worrying, that the government’s writ is over in the country, adding there is climax of bad governance. He said federal, provincial governments are not on moral ground due to the terrible game of Form 45 and Form 47 after the 2024 elections, and nobody knows who is running the government and the rulers have become key toys.
He said people are rapidly moving from despair to anarchy and rebellion due to inflation, unemployment, lawlessness, terrorism and unbearable burden of electricity, petrol, gas, taxes. In this desperate situation, he said the ruling classes and power centers must realize that this game with the country cannot continue for much longer. Everyone has to review his role and play a part to bring the country out of crisis.
Liaqat Baloch said that there is no other opinion that the negotiations should be held with the powerful but this work has been going on for 76 years, despite this, political stability has not come nor has a system based on constitutional, judicial and economic justice been implemented in the country. He said the situation has reached at such a point that even the most important national political leadership is not ready to give up personal ego, stubbornness and vindictive attitude. He said now is the time to bring positive change in our negative attitudes and develop political courage for national dialogue on national priorities.
He said if the national political leadership agrees to bring the country out of the crisis, dialogue with the state authorities will create positive effects for the country, the people and the army. In order to end the national political crises, the political leadership must give up their ego and the national and provincial governments must also be ready to make sacrifices, otherwise the politics of protecting interests will disgrace everyone and the real loss will be to the country and the people, he added.
Liaquat Baloch said that under the leadership of Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, a nationwide public communication campaign and a campaign to make people members of Jamaat-e-Islami has started, adding there is great enthusiasm among the people, especially women and youth.
