Every province is heir of its own resources, no other province could capture it: Fazlur Rehman

QUETTA, Dec 09, (SABAH): President Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Emir Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that every province is heir of its own resources and no other province could capture it.

Maualna Fazlur Rehman expressed these views while addressing lawyers at Balochistan High Court Bar in Quetta on Friday. He said that every province is heir of its own resources and no other province could capture resources of the other provinces. He said at present the biggest issue was economic turmoil of the country and there is dire need to come out of this situation. “Over 70 years ago, Pakistan was strong whereas at present it is weak. Why we deteriorated economy of the country that we are worried about it at present?

If security institution remains within its limits, “we will salute to it”, he said, and added besides political and economic stability there is need of strong defense. He said that Pakistan friendship with China converted into economic stability and they had suggested China to make Silk routine again operational for trade purposes. Iran despite being the neighboring country, Pakistan does not enjoy close ties with it, he deplored.

He went on to state that Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were enriched with natural resources and there is need to accept rights of all provinces and added there should be no supremacy of any institution on any province. In Pakistan, Shariat limits were crosses during the legislation, he said, and suggested every law of the country needs to be in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that no county could be run in the absence of law and the Constitution as the courts make decisions in the light of them. He also criticized international organisations like United Nationals, General Assembly, Security Council and others for controlling the developing countries. “When Pakistan is not in good terms with the US it is stated it has become alone. Basically, it happens when Pakistan is not in happy terms with neighbouring Afghanistan, India and Iran. In this prevailing situation, we need to take stock of our foreign policy,” he concluded
