Entire life of Syed Ali Shah Geelani was representation of Islam, freedom, Pakistan: Ghulam Muhammad Safi

ISLAMABAD, Aug 23 (SABAH): Convener Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Muhammad Safi has said that the entire life of Syed Ali Shah Geelani was representation of Islam, freedom and Pakistan. He said that Geelani wanted to pass last days of his life under the green flag with a crescent.

In his message, Convener Tehreek Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Muhammad Safi said although martyr Geelani used to talk about the self-determination of the masses but about him as well as his party, he used to categorically say, “We are Pakistani. Pakistan is ours.”

Ghulam Muhammad Safi further said that that Syed Ali Shah Geelani always made it clear that resolutions of National Security Council were a foundation to solution of Kashmir conflict, terming it durable and justifiable solution of the issue. “Throughout his life, Geelani stood with veracity of Islam and at last he embraced martyrdom,” he added.

Convener Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir was of the view that even after his martyrdom, India and agents still got him their nerves as they wanted to create suspicions his above the board stance.

Ghulam Muhammad Safi that September 1 is the day of his martyrdom which would be marked by Kahmiris and Pakistanis across the world as a recommitment day.
