Enforcement of Allah’s law on His land is the message of Ramadan: Ameerul Azim

LAHORE, March 24 (SABAH): Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameerul Azim has said that the enforcement of Allah’s law on His land is the message of Ramadan.

Ameerul Azim expressed these views while addressing a grand Iftar dinner organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Awan Town. He said fasting is a shield against evils adding on one hand, we observe fasts with countless blessings from Allah for our pre-dawn and evening meals, while on the other hand, our Palestinian brothers are sitting amidst rubble, observing fasts despite food shortages, sacrificing their lives, and thanking Allah, yet refusing to bow before the Zionists.

Today, despite the existence of 57 Muslim countries, Israel is determined to seize control of the Muslims’ first Qibla he said. Even on the 17th of Ramadan, despite the ceasefire, Israeli forces martyred defenseless fasting Palestinian men, women, and children, which is a matter of grave concern, he added.

The Iftar dinner was also addressed by Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore leader Ahmed Jamil Rashid, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore Western District Syed Ali Irtiza Hasni, Emir Zone 168 Muhammad Shafiq Malik, and Chairman candidate Tayyab Siddiqui. Hundreds of people attended the Iftar dinner.

Ameerul Azim stated that while the rulers of the world’s only Muslim nuclear power are busy securing their positions, their efforts will ultimately be in vain. The speakers emphasized that just as we try to avoid sins during Ramadan, we should live our lives in the same manner throughout the year. They said we should help those in need, seek forgiveness for our sins, and refrain from wrongdoing. Before committing an injustice or usurping someone’s right, we should remember that Allah is watching us, they added.

If we do not respect fasting and fail to fulfill its true essence, Allah has no need for our hunger and thirst, as the purpose of fasting is to make us pious and righteous, they added.
