Enemies are making effort to start new wave of terrorism in country but they will not succeed: Sheikh Rashid
ISLAMABAD, Jan 20 (SABAH): Interior Minister Shiekh Rashid Ahmed said that high alert has been issued for three to four cities and there are rumors that the terrorist incidents could occur. He said that the cities include Quetta, Peshawar, Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.
In an interview with a private TV channel, Sheikh Rashid said that the rangers’ have been deputed from Wednesday for emergency, adding that heinous act has been committed in Lahore and three people have died. He said that the enemies are making effort to start the new wave of terrorism in the country but they will not succeed.
Meanwhile in a statement issued on twitter, Sheikh Rashid condemned the Lahore Anarkali blast in strong words, adding that he was grieved on the loss of precious lives in the blast. Sheikh Rashid also prayed for early recovery of the injured persons. Sheikh Rashid has also summoned report from the Punjab government regarding the Anarkali blast.
