Emergency disaster response training organized by Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan with the cooperation of Turkish NGO OTKA

LAHORE, Dec 14 (SABAH): Turkish Consul General Dr. Ali Arbash visited Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Head Office in Lahore. Vice Presidents of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed Mangat along with their team welcome the guests and later on got him visited the office and briefed him about the projects of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan. 

Turkish delegation headed by Turkish Consul General Dr. Ali Arbash participated in the culmination ceremony of emergency disaster response training, which was organized by Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan with the cooperation of Turkish NGO OTKA.

Turkish Consul General Dr. Ali Arbash on the occasion expressing his views mentioned the unmatched love between Pakistani and Turkish people. While paying tribute to Alkhidmat Foundation for its projects, Dr. Ali Arbash expressed resolve to continue cooperation. Dr. Ali Arbash said he presents tribute to Alkhidmat Foundation for carrying out relief activities during the 2023 earthquake in Turkiye.

Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas, Zikurllah Mujahid, OTKA program coordinator Mohsin Balchi, head of the Turkish Airline in Pakistan Umar Ondar, traders and team of Alkhidmat disaster management were also present on the occasion.

Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas said that the purpose of this training is to prepare the volunteers for dealing with the accidents. He informed that prior to this Turkihs official NGO OTKA provided equipment regarding rescue and response to Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan. 40 volunteers of Alkhidmat Foundation attended the special training workshop, which also include those who worked as volunteers during the 2023 Turkiye earthquake. The participants of the workshop were imparted training about basic life support, fire emergency, water emergency and height rescue. Certificates and shields were distributed among the 40 volunteers of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan who took part in the training workshop.
