Embassy in Buenos Aires celebrates National Day of Pakistan

BUENOS AIRES, March 24 (SABAH): A dignified ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Buenos Aires to mark the National Day of Pakistan. 

Ambassador H.E Dr. Muhammad Khalid Ejaz hoisted the National Flag. Pakistan’s National Anthem was played. The messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan on the National Day were read on the occasion. 

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Dr. Ejaz congratulated the Pakistani Community living in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Uruguay for celebrating the National Day with great fervour and enthusiasm. The Ambassador stated that by the Grace of Allah, Pakistan is progressing by leaps and bounds and has gained a prominent position in the comity of nations. 

The Ambassador mentioned about the hosting of the 48th Session of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Conference in Islamabad. He stated that the keynote address of Prime Minister Imran Khan to the OIC meeting provided a roadmap for the Muslim Ummah to confront the challenges and to bring peace and harmony in the world.

The Ambassador mentioned that he had attended a memorial ceremony at ‘Centro Cultural de la Memoria Haroldo Conti’ with the Hon’ble Foreign Minister of Argentina as the Chief Guest, in which homage was paid to the struggle of the courageous women, who organized themselves as ‘Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo.’ Similarly, today, we pay respect to the Kashmiri women who are struggling to find their loved ones who were unlawfully abducted and have been missing for years in the Indian illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir. A day would come when those innocent missing Kashmiris would return to their homes, join their families, live in peace and harmony in their own territory.

The ceremony ended with prayers for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. The Ambassador along with other participants cut the cake which was especially prepared for the occasion. The guests were served with Pakistani food.
