Election of Asif Ali Zardari is basically controversial face of rigged elections: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, March 10 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Liaqat Baloch has said that election of Asif Ali Zardari is basically controversial face of rigged elections in the country.

Liaqat Baloch expressed these views while addressing consultative meeting at Mansoorah on Sunday. While boycotting the presidential election, Jamaat-e-Islami proved that elections of 2024 were not credible ones, he said and added there are no chances of ending political and economic crisis by these controversial rulers.

Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that Israel with the support of the US is continuing bombardment against the oppressed people of Gaza. He noted since 150 days, Israel has been continuing its aggression against Palestinians.  Over 32000 Palestinian men, women and children were martyred but continuing conferences, protest rallies, sit-ins, international court and international institutions could not stop this genocide, he added.

Liaqat Baloch went on to say that the US and Europe have no answer for the world that why they are helping Israel in its slaughter of Palestinians. He noted the real killers of Palestinians and Kashmiris are rulers of the Islamic countries who are talking just cosmetic measures as they are not doing practical measures for stopping slaughter of Palestinians. He said inhumane role of Israel and India will destroy peace of the whole world, adding people of Pakistan are supporters of Kashmiris and Palestinians.

He further said that audacious Kashmiris rejected the visit of Indian Prime Minister Modi as he went there to win the hearts of Kashmiris but came back while receiving hatred. He said that national leadership of Pakistan and state institutions are busy in hijacking elections and are ignorant of their national responsibilities.

Liaqat Baloch said that elections 2024 have been made controversial through rigging and changing the results of elections. He said no doubt that Asif Ali Zardari has been again elected as civilian president but his selection is basically controversial face of rigged elections. He said 16 months of coalition government were dangerous and still the people are not expecting anything better from the current rulers. There is need of great struggle for impartial elections in the country, he added.
