Election campaign for 2024 general elections will end on Tuesday night at 12:00 AM

ISLAMABAD, Feb 5 (SABAH): Election campaign for 2024 general elections will end on Tuesday night at 12:00 AM. Delivery of elections stuff to the district returning officers has been completed.

According to election schedule, 48 hours before the ending of polling, ending election drive is a must. After this, if candidates or political parties are found involved in electoral drive then action is taken as per law. On the other side, publishing of ballot papers and as well as their consignment has been completed.

For maintaining law and order situation, Pakistan Army will start its duties from Wednesday. All arrangements from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) have been completed. A special control room has been established in the Ministry of Interior for monitor law and order and election process.

Meanwhile the Election Commission of Pakistan has completed the delivery of around 260 million ballot papers for the general elections being held on Thursday.

According to a Spokesperson of the Commission, the ECP staffers with their hard work and organized planning have fulfilled the task in a limited time.

The process of ballot papers delivery was completed through both ground and air means.

The spokesperson said that all the ballot papers were handed over from government printing presses to concerned District Returning Officers and their representatives.

He said process faced difficulties due to inclement weather, but despite all the challenges, the commission completed the work on time so that all voters can exercise their right to vote in an efficient and organized manner.
