Efforts should be made for provision of maximum relief to the common man: Nawaz


LONDON, April 21 (SABAH): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid and former prime minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that the efforts should be made for provision of maximum relief to the common man. Nawaz Sharif said that no further burden should be put on the common man.

This was stated by Nawaz Sharif during meeting with Finance Minister Dr. Miftah Ismail Ahmed on Thursday in London. The meeting of Miftah Ismail with Nawaz Sharif continued for one and half hour. Former finance minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar was also present during the meeting.

Miftah Ismail while talking to media said that Nawaz Sharif has expressed concern over the current circumstances of the country. He said that Nawaz Sharif is worried due to the economic deterioration of the Imran Khan era. He said that according to the instructions of Nawaz Sharif no further burden would be put on the masses. 

Miftah Ismail said that when he was coming to meet Nawaz Sharif three years ago his name was included in the Exit Control List (ECL). He said that Pakistan is at third position in the world after Argentina and Turkey in inflation due to the wrong policies of the PTI government. Miftah Ismail said that Imran Khan’s government secured Rs 20,000 billion loan during tenure of three years and nine months. He said that in 71 years history of Pakistan from Liaqat Ali Khan to Justice (retd) Nasirul Mulk, the country secured Rs. 25,000 billion loan and PTI government alone took Rs 20,000 billion loan which is equal to 80 percent loan of Pakistan’s total history, adding that tax to GDP was also not collected by PTI government which was left by PML-N government. He said that all the promises made by PTI government with the IMF were broken intentionally and also due to incompetence. He said that Imran Khan has written new history of miss governance and incompetence.

Miftah Ismail said that he was going to visit United States and came to meet Mian Muhammad Nawaz Shairf, adding that this matter of great satisfaction for him.
