Economic issues top the list of concerns in MENAP Region: IPSOS Study
ISLAMABAD, August 03 (SABAH): According to the IPSOS Study conducted regarding views on inflation in the MENAP Region, economic issues top the list of concerns in the region, with inflation being the most concerning issue for people today.
According to IPSOS Study, the majority (92%) in the region believe that prices have increased in the past 12 months. As a result, 8 in 10 people are spending more today compared to 12 months ago.
The study further states that the people have experienced price increases across most categories, with food and beverage topping the list. Half of those in the region took measures to deal with inflation.
The IPSOS Study further states that the consumers in MENAP are likely to buy only necessities, eat more home-cooked meals, and keep track of their spending habits. The majority (81%) in the region worry about their ability to afford their day-to-day expenses.
According to the IPSOS Study, around 3 in 4 people have already downgraded their lifestyle to accommodate price increases. Wars and conflict, rising global oil prices & the pandemic are seen as the key factors driving inflation in the region.
According to the IPSOS Study, around 4 in 10 people in the region are optimistic that prices will start stabilizing within the next 12 months. A third believe it could take up to 3 years.
