Early election is the only constitutional & lasting solution to the crisis: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, Mar 30 (SABAH): Addressing a meeting of the Majlis-e-Shura of Jamaat-e-Islami North Punjab, Liaqat Baloch, Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and President of the Standing Committee on National, Political and Electoral Affairs, said that due to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s style and the path of emotional response adopted by him, things have gone far away from his resignation only. The manner in which he has surrendered in Punjab, now his resignation will create great difficulties for his future politics. The opposition was already fighting against Imran Khan, but his supportive patron forces, allied parties and his party members have also joined the ranks of opponents. This is the utter incompetence and failure of the Prime Minister.

Liaqat Baloch said that Prime Minister Imran Khan announced to establish the state of Madinah system in the country, then he practically deviated from it. He also demonstrated weakness and cowardness on the Kashmir and Afghanistan issues. The status quo, corruption, abuse of power and catastrophic failures on the economic front and slander have made the situation itself a victim of apolitical, vindictive, political extremism. Early election is the only constitutional and lasting solution to the crisis.

He said that the goal of achieving power was met through government alliance but Imran Khan’s alliance for power proved to be the unholy alliance (Bhan Mati’s family). All the odds and woes he is facing today are due to his style of bad governance and incompetent team. New Bhan Mati’s family is going to join the no-confidence motion; Even this will not solve the political crisis. Things will get even worse. Therefore, the only treatment is premature elections. The right of the people to enjoy fair, free and impartial elections must be restored now
