During 2023, Alkhidmat Foundation completed 2,826 projects of clean drinking water: Syed Waqas Jafri
RAWALPINDI, Jan 27 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has issued annual report 2023 of clean drinking water. During the year, Alkhidmat Foundation completed 2826 projects of clean drinking water. In Cholistan, 413 projects were completed.
In the flood affected areas, 29 permanent mobile water filtration plans were installed whereas in Tharparkar, 20 agro solar project were completed which are being run on solar energy. Through these projects, the residents use clean drinking water alongside use the water for cultivation.
Secretary General Syed Waqas Jafri said that Alkhidmat Foundation is keep on mission of service of humanity in different fields. While following development agenda of the world i.e, WASH, Alkhidmat has expanded its jurisdiction, he said and added during the previous year, name of clean drinking water was changed to wash project. Now along with clean drinking water the aspects of cleanliness and hygienic have also been included, he added.
He said under Alkhidmat’s wash vision, there is access of water for all and achievement of basic rights of cleanliness for human beings. He said till 2030, we have set target of providing equal opportunities of cleanliness and hygienic conditions to the people.
