Dr. Mushtaq Mangat visits flood-hit Jamshoro, takes stock of under-construction homes


JAMSHORO, March 15 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan under its ‘Tameer-e-Watan Program’ was continuing construction and repair work on 5,000 houses in the floods affected areas at the cost of Rs 900 million.

In connection with this, Vice President of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Mangat paid a visit to floods affected area, Jamshoro of Sindh and took stock of under-construction houses there.

Addressing on the occasion, he said that construction and repair work on more than 200 homes had been completed whereas more than 2,000 were under construction as well as repair work. He furthered that Alkhidmat Foundation was committed to serve the humanity and added it will continue serving the quake victims until their complete rehabilitation.

He maintained that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan under its ‘Tameer-e-Watan Program’ was gradually distributing financial assistance in South Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan for the purchase of construction materials like bricks, blocks, GI sheets, etc.

In the construction and repair work, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Mangat said widow women, handicapped individuals, labor class and small scale farmers were included and added this was done in the light of a survey.
