Dr. Mushtaq Mangat meets with Director Planning & Coordination Balochistan Disaster Management Authority Amanullah


QUETTA, August 20 (SABAH): Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Mangat met with Director Planning and Coordination Balochistan Disaster Management Authority Amanullah in Quetta on Saturday.  

On the occasion President Alkhidmat Foundation Balochistan Engineer Jamil Ahmed Kurd and other office-bearers were also present. Director PDMA Balochistan Amanullah informed about the worries of the people after the floods which came in Balochistan after 30 years record breaking rains.

Dr. Mushtaq Mangat pointed out that non-proper planning is the main cause of the annual incidents of the devastating floods in Pakistan. He said that to overcome the floods there is need of finding professional and durable solution.

Dr. Mushtaq Mangat also visited the relief camp in Balochistan set up for the flood affectees. He said that the process of provision of the cooked food and dry ration to the flood affectees is continued in the relief camp. Besides this, 50 medical camps have also been set up, in which free of cost medical check up of over 9,000 patients have been conducted and free of cost medicines have been provided to them. He said that due to the destruction of the water channel there was severe problem of provision of clean drinking water, adding that the clean drinking water is also being provided.

Dr. Mushtaq Mangat said that the people have been badly affected due to the recent rains, adding that crops have been destroyed and houses and livestock of the people have been harmed. He said that it is our appeal that the whole nation especially philanthropists should come forward for the help of the brothers and sisters in the hour of trial. He said that so far Alkhidmat Foundation has distributed 9,955 food packages, 656 caldrons of cooked food, 357 tents and 2232 tarpaulins costing Rs 75 million.
