Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan elected Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu & Kashmir

ISLAMABAD, July 08 (SABAH): Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan has been elected Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the declaration issued by Election Commissioner Raja Fazil Hussain Tabassum, the members of the JI General Council through secret ballot have elected Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan as Emir JI AJK for the session July 2023 to June 30, 2026. Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan hails from district Jehlum Valley. Prior to this Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan remained Secretary General of JI AJK also.
The names of Mushtaq Advocate and Noorul Bari were also included in the panel of the candidates for the position of Emir JI AJK along with Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan.

According to Raja Zakir of JI Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan has secured MBBS, MPH, Executive MBA and PhD Public Health degrees. Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan secured early education from High School Saran, district Jehlum Valley. Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan did FSc from Government University College Muzaffarabad, MBBS from Nishtar Medical College Multan, MPH from Health Services Academy Peshawar, University of Peshawar, Executive Master of Business Administration Human Resource Management Preston University Peshawar Campus, PhD Public Health Cholalang University Bangkok, Thailand. He served in many capacities as a doctor.
Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan had secured the membership of Islami Jamiat Talaba in Nishtar Medical College Multan. Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan become Rafique of IJT on 31st July 1985 and later on he became the member of the IJT Pakistan and served on different positions. Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan became the member of the JI Azad Jammu and Kashmir in 1988 and laid the foundation of the JI in Hatian Bala district in Jehlum Valley. He also performed responsibilities as Emir JI Muzaffarabad. Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan served as Secretary General JI AJK from 1996 to 2002. He served as Deputy Chief of the JI AJK from 2008 to 2017 and also played crucial role as chairman of the central political committee in obtaining parliamentary representation for Jamaat-e-Islami in form of two seats. Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan remained member of the JI Central Shoora in Saudi Arabia. He also served as Nazim of the Usair province of Saudi Arabia. He has been taking part as JI candidate in elections from Jehlum Valley constituency of the AJK Legislative Assembly.
