Dr. Humaira Tariq expresses her gratitude for the significant participation of people in Gaza March
KARACHI, April 13 (SABAH): Under the leadership of Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, a grand Gaza March was organized in Karachi and in Lahore yesterday to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine. The people of Karachi and Lahore participated with great enthusiasm. A large number of women, students, children, and individuals from all walks of life took part in the marches across both cities.
Dr. Humaira Tariq, Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Women’s Wing, expressed her gratitude for the significant participation of women and children in the Gaza March. She stated that Jamaat-e-Islami will continue its protest until the liberation of the First Qibla and the withdrawal of the oppressive Israeli forces from Palestine. “Every action of ours is dedicated to the people of Gaza. Al-Quds (Jerusalem) is the center of hope for the Muslim Ummah. Israel’s war frenzy is thirsty for the blood of the Muslim nation. The survival of the Ummah lies in awakening and uniting against the enemy,” she said.
Dr. Humaira Tariq paid tribute to the relentless efforts of the organizers and workers in Karachi and Lahore for making the march a success. She appealed to the public to continue their moral and financial support for Palestine and to persist in the boycott campaign against Israeli products.
She further stated that after violating agreements made with resistance leaders, Israel has been carrying out indiscriminate bombings in Gaza and Rafah through its Zionist forces, leading to the martyrdom of many innocent Palestinians, including women and children. She condemned the silence of Muslim rulers, especially those of Pakistan, over such brutality and cruelty. To awaken the Muslim leadership, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan organized Gaza Million Marches in Karachi and Lahore, where massive crowds of men, women, and children were seen as far as the eye could see.
Furthermore, in the Lahore Million March, Deputy Secretary Samina Saeed, Dr. Sameeha Raheel Qazi, and Zubaida Jabeen participated, while in the Karachi Million March, Deputy Secretary Tayyaba Atif, Atiya Nisar, and Director Public Relations Durdana Siddiqui, along with other central officials, were present.
