Donors conference held at Mirpur under Alkhidmat Foundation with respect to providing quality education, living standard to orphans
MIRPUR, Mar 10 (SABAH): A donors conference was held at Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir under Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan in connection with providing up to the mark education, living standard to the orphans.
Motif behind holding this event was to inculcate awareness about different issues faced by the orphans nowadays as well as Alkhidmat Foundation’s services on the matter among the people belonging to different walks of life.
General Secretary Alkhidmat Foundation Syed Waqas Jafri, President Alkhidmat Foundation AJK Raja Jahangir Khan, President Mirpur Zafar Javed Jarral, philanthropists and large number of other people participated in the event.
Addressing on the occasion, Syed Waqas Jafri shared with the participants that Alkhidmat Foundation under its Kafalat Utama Program was sponsoring more than 20,000 orphans whereas the organization has 21 Aghosh Homes where 1,627 children were living. He further said that construction work on seven Alkhidmat Aghosh Centers was underway and added the organization wanted to establish further five centers.
Addressing on the occasion, Raja Jahangir Khan said that children are asset and future of any society who have to rein in the country in the time to come which is why Alkhidmat Foundation was working day and night for upgrading their living standard as well as education. He added in this donor conference, Rs 22.3 million donations were collected which would be used on 408 children during a year.
