DFP in strongest terms condemns attachment of Hurriyat office in Srinagar by Indian authorities

SRINAGAR, Jan 31 (SABAH): Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party on Tuesday strongly condemned again the attachment of Hurriyat office in Srinagar by officials of the NIA- Indian National Investigation Agency.

Terming the move as a part of BJP government’s vicious campaign to silent political dissent in the region, the DFP spokesman said that Indian apartheid regime must bear in mind the fact that it cannot suppress the Kashmiris’ legitimate political struggle by attaching offices and properties of Hurriyat leaders.

The spokesman while referring to the seething anger and anti-India sentiment in Kashmir said that Indian government can confiscate and attach public properties but it can’t suppress the Kashmiris’ spirit and their passion for freedom rooted deep into the hearts and minds of the Kashmiris.

The spokesman said that the Modi regime should take a leaf out of the history and realize the bitter reality that freedom movements enjoying massive support of the masses at grass-roots level do not need office to run.

He made it clear that such mean tactics by the Modi government cannot deter Kashmiris from pursuing their cause for which they had rendered matchless sacrifices.
