DFP expresses profound grief & sorrow over the sad demise of renowned scholar Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki

SRINAGAR, Dec 29 (SABAH): Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has expressed its profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of renowned scholar Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the DFP spokesman advocate Arshad Iqbal said that the deceased leader was a strong and powerful voice of the oppressed Kashmiris in Pakistan.

 He said that Professor Makki was a strong advocate of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination. Meanwhile, in a separate statement the DFP acting chairman extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Referring to the deceased scholar’s significant contribution towards the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement, Saghar said that Professor Makki would always be remembered in the annals of history for his selfless services to the Kashmir cause.

Saghar also paid great tributes to the deceased religious scholar and termed his death as a huge loss for the movement. While extending his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the DFP leader prayed to Allah, the almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
