Desecration of mosque in Kathua, Muslims stop Indian operation of bulldozers
SRINAGAR, ISLAMABAD, June 29 (SABAH): The Indian administration in Occupied Kashmir desecrated the mosque in Kathua district and tried to demolish it, but the administration failed in its plan due to the protest of the local Muslims.
The occupying Indian administration tried to run a bulldozer on the mosque along with a heavy contingent of forces, which was strongly resisted by the local Muslim population. Meanwhile, five civilians and twelve police personnel were injured.
According to reports, the police also fired in the air on this occasion. Ghulam Mohammad Safi, the convener of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir branch of the Islamabad All-Party Hurriyat Conference, said that India cannot weaken the spirit of the Kashmiri people by desecrating religious places.
Ghulam Mohammad Safi strongly condemned the desecration of the mosque in Kathua area of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the attempt to demolish it, saying that India is following a heinous plan like changing the population ratio in the area under the guise of encroachment.
He said that the Hurriyat Conference considers the martyrdom of the mosque as an interference in religion, which cannot be accepted under any circumstances. He said that every fair minded person would call the brutal violence against the people protesting against this incident as open state terrorism of India.
