Deputy Chief of JI Liaqat Baloch holds meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam

ISLAMABAD, July 27 (SABAH): Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaqat Baloch held meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam.

According to the statement issued by Iranian Embassy in Islamabad on social media, during the meeting they talked about different aspects of the relations between the two brotherly, friendly and neighboring countries of Iran and Pakistan based on history long commonalities and links.

During the meeting Liaqat Baloch and Iranian Ambassador Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam appreciated the strong position of the government and people of Pakistan in reaction to the sacrilegious act of desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and Denmark. They discussed the all-out history long commonalities and links between the two brotherly countries of Iran and Pakistan.

During the meeting they condemned the heinous act of the desecration of the Holy Quran and appreciated the wisdom and perception in the Muslim world in realizing conspiracies as it has always been the way. They expressed readiness to cooperate in a line with unity, expediency and interest of the Muslim world. They stressed upon the necessity of unity among all the Muslim schools of thought in benefit of sect differences.

They stressed the significant role of the Muslim scholars in removing the misunderstandings. They also stressed focusing on boosting trade and economy between Iran and Pakistan.

Meanwhile according to the statement issued by Liaqat Baloch on twitter, seven-member delegation of JI headed by him and comprising Emir JI North Punjab Dr. Tariq Saleem, Emir JI Islamabad Nasrullah Randhawa, traders leader Muhammad Kashif Chaudry, Syed Arif Shirazi, Rassal Khan Babar, Syed Raza Shah and Fazlur Rehman held meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam at the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad.

Liaqat Baloch said that it was a pleasant meeting, which continued for two hours. The members of the delegation welcomed the Iranian ambassador in Islamabad and expressed their views.
