Defence of Human Rights to observe ‘International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances’ on Tuesday 


ISLAMABAD, August 29 (SABAH): Defence of Human Rights (DHR) is going to observe the “International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances” on Tuesday [August 30] with the victim families.

On this occasion, Defence of Human Rights will organize a protest demonstration at D-Chowk of Islamabad. In the light of recent flood wave across Pakistan, it will set up a flood relief camp as well. “We will be collecting funds and materials to help the victim families of enforced disappeared struggling during the floods,” it stated.

“We request our members, families of the disappeared, journalists, activists, lawyers, well-wishers, human rights community and common citizens to join us in the continuation of the campaign to bring back the forcibly disappeared citizens,” DHR stated.

“Please join us to show solidarity with the victim families and to raise voice against this issue,” it added.
