Defence Minister expresses Pakistan’s strong desire to deepen, broaden & strengthen its partnership with Turkiye in all fields
RAWALPINDI, Sep 14 (SABAH): Mehmet Pacaci, Ambassador of Turkiye called on Minister for Defence, Lt.Gen. Anwar Ali Hyder (Retd) at his office in Ministry of Defence on Thursday.
The historical and brotherly relations between two countries were discussed. The Minister expressed Pakistan’s strong desire to deepen, broaden and strengthen its partnership with Turkiye in all fields including defence cooperation to the optimum level. Defence Minister reiterated Pakistan’s strong desire to strengthen its partnership with Turkiye in all fields including defence cooperation. He expressed satisfaction over common understanding on regional and global emerging geo-political situation. Moreover, he also emphasized that Pakistan-Turkiye bilateral relations have been institutionalized under the forum of High Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) under Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defence relations under High Level Military Dialogue Meetings.
Minister for Defence reiterated Pakistan’s continued support to Turkiye on Cyprus and highlighted that CPEC Project will contribute towards peace, stability, economic development and regional connectivity.
Defence Minister appreciated that Pakistan and Turkiye are cooperating closely on challenges faced by Muslim Ummah, especially with regard to the situation in the illegally Occupied Kashmir by India and also in Occupied Palestine as well as the rising wave of Islamophobia in the West. Both sides showed satisfaction on various areas of common interest, including security and counter terrorism and resolved to work together to fight the menace.
