Currently Alkhidmat Foundation supporting 20 thousand families of orphan children: Muhammad Abdul Shakoor


ISLAMABAD, April 15 (SABAH): President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Muhammad Abdul Shakoor has said that currently Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is supporting the 20 thousand families of the orphan children and every year this number is increasing by five to six thousand. He said that this number will increase greatly in upcoming years. Muhammad Abdul Shakoor said that we are playing the role of bridge between the donor and family of the orphan child.

In an interview with a private TV channel, Muhammad Abdul Shakoor said that we provide Rs 54,000 annually for every orphan child, which is Rs 4,500 per month. He said that currently 18 Aghosh Homes are working under Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan in Karachi, Sindh, Punjab and other areas, adding that five Aghosh Homes are under construction and it is expected they will start functioning next year. Muhammad Abdul Shakoor said that we dream about the orphan children same as we dream for our own children, adding that we want to see the orphan children succeeding in their life in education, morality and performance.  

Muhammad Abdul Shakoor said that we provide interest free loans to the widows from Rs 50 to 80 thousand, adding that hundreds of widows have become self reliant after securing interest free loans. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan was registered in 1992 and from then it is working continuously. He said that former late mayor Karachi Naimatullah Khan Advocate served as the first president of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is present in 126 districts of Pakistan, adding that we have also regional offices. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has net of 32 thousand volunteers from Karachi to Gilgit and Gwadar to Chitral, who are always ready to serve the humanity.
