Criticism by coalition parties against each other in political gatherings will crease uncertainty: Ahsan Iqbal

NAROWAL, June 18 (SABAH): Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry has said that the criticism by coalition parties against each other in political gatherings will crease uncertainty, adding that we should have to avoid opening of new front against each other. 

While inaugurating the development division in Narowal on Sunday, Ahsan Iqbal said that the coalition government under the leadership of

Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is trying to make all the decisions with consensus, adding that there are some pros and cons of the coalition government. He said that it takes time in decision making but these decisions have broad-based backing. He said that PM Shehbaz Sharif has included every coalition party in every decision, adding that all parties are included in important policy matters. He said that all parties were included in preparation of the budget and approval of the budget from cabinet. Ahsan Iqbal said that he is hopeful that our coalition parties will realize that if we will criticize each other in political gatherings then it will create uncertainty, adding that if you have any complaints they have always been addressed by the prime minister.

Ahsan Iqbal said that we should avoid talking in public gatherings and should present our point of view while sitting in the cabinet so that we should not promote any political uncertainty in the country, which was the trait of Imran Khan. Ahsan Iqbal said that we should avoid opening new front against each other as the country has not come out completely from the dangers. He said that PM Shehbaz Sharif gives more important to coalition partners as compared to PML-N.

Ahsan Iqbal said that he wants to ask the question from judges’ that whether they would like to handover the key of their vehicle to any inexperience person? He said that these people while giving the certificate of honest and sagacious to an inexperience person made him the prime minister of the country.    

Ahsan Iqbal said that the coalition government had saved the country from default through concerted efforts. “Pakistan’s economy would take the road to progress due to a proper roadmap which has been formulated,” said the minister.

Talking about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Ahsan Iqbal stressed that the project was supposed to life the people by attracting the foreign direct investment while claiming the PTI government ruined the pace of project due to which the FDI remained standstill.

Ahsan Iqbal highlighted that ‘incompetent people’ were given the reins of power, and they, in turn, wreaked havoc to the economy adding a dishonest person was given the certificate of honest which resulted in diminishing FDI in the county.

He said the PML-N government added 11,000 megawatts in the country electrical system that decreased load shedding besides providing opportunities to investors.
