Countrywide protest demonstrations held on the appeal of Hafiz Naeemur Rehman against Israeli atrocities on Palestinians

LAHORE, May 31(SABAH): Countrywide protest demonstrations were held on Friday on the appeal of Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman against Israeli atrocities on Palestinians and silence of rulers of Muslim world.

A large number of people participated in the protest rallies, holding placard and banners inscribed with pro-Palestine slogans. The protestors chanted slogans against Israeli attack on Rafah camp and demanded that the rulers of Islamic world shun their silence and take steps in support of Palestinians.

According to details, the protest demonstrations were held at 300 spots in Karachi and 92 spots in Islamabad. JI vice-Emirs Liaqat Baloch, Mian Muhammad Aslam and Dr. Ataur Rehman addressed the participants during protest demonstrations in Mandi Bahauddin, Islamabad and Mardan. JI Secretary General Ameerul Azim spoke to the participants of protest rally at Multan Road in front of Mansoorah. JI Balochistan Emir Abdul Haq Hashmi led the protest rally in Quetta while JI Punjab northern chapter Emir addressed the protest rally in Gujrat. JI Emir Karachi Munam Zafar led the rally in Sadar area.

Protest rallies were held in Jhang, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Sing, Okara, Sahiwal, Multan and other cities of Punjab. A large number of people participated in the rallies held in interior Sindh and Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cities.

Speaking to the participants in Lahore, Ameerul Azim demanded the Islamabad and government of other countries of Islamic world represent the true sentiments of Ummah and take practical steps to save the Palestinians from Israeli aggression. He said the international community failed to save the humanity, proving there was no law for powerful. He said Israeli forces have broken all records of atrocities and indulged in killing of children and women in Palestine. He said Washington is fully supporting the Israeli aggression and OIC and rulers of Islamic world have proved they are spineless. He paid tribute to the bravery and resistance of people of Palestine, vowing the JI would continue their support until their freedom from Israeli occupation. He said the sun of freedom of would soon shine on Palestine.
