Country is sinking in serious political, constitutional, financial crisis: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, April 13 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami and Secretary Milli Yekjehti Council, Liaqat Baloch has said that the country was sinking in serious political, constitutional and financial crisis where the government, state, politics and judiciary locking horns with one another.

Liaqat Baloch expressed these views during an aftaar dinner held in honor of media representatives at Multan as well as at a zoom conference of provincial assembly candidates belonging to 13 districts of Central Punjab. He further said that enthusiasm shown by Muslim during the holy month of Ramadan is a proof that they have great affection for the religion of Allah Almighty as well as the enforcement of Islamic System, and added that Jamaat-e-Islami has served the people with respect to spiritual and financial aspects.

Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that if Quran and Sunnah were enforced as per the Constitution of Pakistan the country would become a prosperous, Islamic and a welfare state. He said that common citizens were being deprived of their rights while all the big stakeholders were suffering from the disease of ego and stubbornness.

He maintained that solution of political issues does not lie with judiciary or army but it is the political leadership who have to come forward to sort out the issues that are political in nature. Unluckily, he furthered the pollical national leadership was exacerbating the situation. If any act above the constitution is committed then the coalition government of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) would be held responsible in this regard, he added.

Liaqat Baloch said that former prime minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) exploited his popularity among the masses and added practically he could not run the government. He said that the former prime minister was not working properly by being in the opposition too. Though he made tall claims of giving millions of jobs and residences to the masses but nothing could be materialized.
