Corps Commander Bahawalpur Lt. General Faiz Hameed also decides to take early retirement
ISLAMABAD, Nov 26, (SABAH): Corps Commander Bahawalpur and former DG ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed has also decided to take early retirement after new appointments in Pakistan Army.
Prior to him, Lt. General Azhar Abbas, the Chief of General Staff, on Friday decided to take early retirement. Both Lt. General Azhar Abbas and Lt. General Faiz Hameed were supposed to retire in April of next year.
According to the well placed sources, Corps Commander Bahawalpur and former DG ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed has also decided to seek early retirement after new appointments in Pakistan army.
It is worth mentioning here that during the tenure of former prime minister Imran Khan, General Faiz Hameed was considered as strong candidate for the post of army chief in future.
