Confession of PM regarding inflation is indeed confession of crime: Sirajul Haq
SAMAR BAGH, LOWER DIR, Sep 15 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s confession regarding inflation is indeed confession of crime.
Accompanied by district emir Aizaul Mulk Afkari, Sirajul Haq expressed these views while talking to workers at Samar Bagh area of district Lower Dir as well as at Bin Shahi area of Upper Dir on Thursday.
He said that trickery was being meted out to nation on fuel adjustment issue in electricity bills as there was contradiction between the prime minister and minister for energy’s statements on the matter.
While lamenting the political turmoil in the country, he said that Pakistan was converted into “Masailistan” [a place full of problems] in wake of incompetence of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He said the current and former rulers of the country were responsible for the economic crisis of resource-rich atomic power Pakistan with population of over 220 million people.
Feudal lords, thanes and cruel capitalists have been occupying the country’s resources since last seven decades, he said, and appealed to the masses to stop relying on such snakes as they will ultimately prove to be detrimental to the interests of downtrodden masses of this land of ours.
Sirajul Haq said there is no possibility of the good from the already tested political parties and added only Jamaat-e-Islami will bring betterment in the society and continued flood, inflation and unemployment had made the people unbearable. The emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that flood is an infliction and a challenge for the nation and added, “We need to collectively seek forgiveness from Almighty Allah and also go ahead for helping the helpless people.” The federal and provincial governments were badly exposed as government’s relief items were being recovered from barns of ministers.
Sirajul Haq went on to say that they had already conveyed about the danger of corruption in the government’s relief aid items and warned otherwise people will be forced to block up their bungalows. He requested the rulers to not force the people to do so and be given their rights.
He also expressed his concerns over destruction caused by disastrous floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said people’s hard-earned money during their entire lives was washed away in floodwaters besides collapse of buildings and infrastructures.
He said the government of PTI proved to be helpless to provide relief to flood victims and requested the government to wave off electricity bills of next six months besides hand over Rs 3.5 million per family under the head of construction of houses. He also requested an exemption from taxes for Malakand Division and former Federal Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) for next 10 years.
Sirajul Haq said that the rulers handed over the country to International Monetary Fund (IMF) and all economy related polices were being run as per Colonial agendas whereas Jamaat-e-Islami is making efforts for enforcement of supremacy of Islamic jurisprudence.
